Langtang Gosaikunda trek is a beautiful and one of the best trekking destinations in the Langtang region. This trek passes through the lush forests, picturesque villages and astounding mountains throughout the journey.

Gosainkunda is a great religious site for Hindu people. According to Hindu mythology, the origin of Gosainkunda is related to the Samundra Manthan carried by Lord Shiva.
The lake and water itself have religious significance and there is a festival during Janai Purnima and Gangadashahara. It is believed that Gosainkunda was created by Lord Shiva in order to cool his throat after he swallowed the poison.
The trekking route of Langtang Gosainkunda trek is quite challenging and adventurous in its own style. It includes trekking to long and high steeps passing through the deep forests, view of clear sky, and Orchid forests.

Best Season for Langtang Gosaikunda Trek
Langtang Trek can be done at any time of the year. But the seasons of autumn and spring are the best for actually embarking upon the Langtang Valley Trek.
Autumn occurs between the months of September and November, promising clear mountain views, blue skies, and comfortable weather.
If you prefer to travel during the spring months of February through May, you’ll be rewarded with the sight of rhododendrons blooming brilliantly across the alpine slopes of the Langtang Valley.
Food and Accommodation
Langtang – Gosaikunda Trek is a much-loved destination, and you can find plenty of tea houses and hotels for Food and accommodation.
As always you are far away from your home, therefore, don’t expect the food to be of your choice instead adjust with the items in the guesthouse.
The choices in the menu are limited, but portions of the food will be quite substantial and filling. Generally, the menu offers Dal Bhat, chowmein, omelet, fried potatoes, pancakes, Tibetan bread, and soups. The non-veg items include yak meat, canned fish, and chicken.
Don’t expect the guesthouse to be luxurious, but there will be enough clothes to keep you warm.
You can find a clean room, decent beds, and toilets, which will be kind enough to stay at teahouses.
In a peak season, you may have to adjust with the beds and clothes. It is best to contact your travel agency to book excellent accommodation out there.
Required Documents
There are two sorts of permits required for trekking in the Gosaikunda region. A Langtang National Park entry permit may be obtained at the Langtang National Park checking desk, which is located only a few hundred meters before Dhunche. The permit costs $30 and includes a Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) Card from Kathmandu’s Trekking Agencies Association (TAAN). We handle all of the necessary paperwork and permissions prior to the trek’s departure.
