Sailung Trek is Non Tourist trekking area in Nepal which provides fantastic panoramic view of the Himalayan views including the Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Makalu, Rolwaling Himalaya range, Annapurna Himalayan range, Ganesh Himal etc.

In Nepali language, ‘Sai’ means hundred and ‘Lung’ means the hills. Since there are hundreds of hill in this area, people started saying this trek as Sailung trekking.

Sailung is also well-known as a Hindu religious site for Sailungeshwor Mahadev, a form of Lord Shiva residing over Sailung watching over the Himalayas.

Sailung trekking reaches until Thulo (high) Sailung at the height of 3,146m which is the finest point to view long-range of snow-capped mountains, including the Mt. Everest.

This trek is the only solitary trekking trail from where you will see 5 different Himalayan region views including Everest region, Annapurna region, Langtang region, Ganesh Himal region & Rolwaling region.

Best Time/Season for Sailung Trek

Spring is the best time because of the warm temperatures and clear weather. Similarly, the autumn season also hosts good weather and the perfect temperature for a hike. On the other side, during the winter season, the temperature will be cold but the views of the surrounding will be very clear. 

Required Documents (Permits)

While you travel Sailung region, you need to obtain the  entry permits and TIMS permit. All the applicable permits and entry fees are including on the given cost except personal contribution and donations. In case of extra charge and payment, the agency will inform you.
